The change in the resistance of the sensing element determines the gas concentration. When exposed to combustible gas, the sensing element's resistance decreases, causing a change in the bridge's output voltage. This voltage change increases with increasing gas concentration. The compensation element acts as a reference and provides temperature compensation.
